Our First Beneficiary
Our first beneficiary of the Jordan Thomas Foundation is named Alaina and she is now 8 years old. Alaina lives near Chattanooga and when she was 2 years old, she was in a farming accident. She lost both her legs, one above the knee and the other below the knee leading to a difficult rehabilitation. She spent several weeks at TC Thompson’s Children’s hospital and her medical expenses were very high. Her family was unable to afford replacement prosthesis for those she had outgrown.
From the generosity of folks like you, Alaina received a new set of “legs”! I was thrilled to watch her walk for the first time on the new prosthesis and we took some photographs of the event to share.
Thank-you so much for contributing to my Foundation and helping me help a child who has suffered greatly from traumatic injury. I hope to help many more children who have experienced limb loss in their lives.
If this is your first visit to this web page, please make a contribution to help me further my work. I want to thank-you in advance for considering my Foundation and hope that you will help me in my goal of “Rebuilding Children After Traumatic Injury.”

Our Second Beneficiary
I am excited to tell you about our second beneficiary. Noah (photo right) is 6 years old and an amazingly happy child despite everything he has been through. Noah was born with a severe congenital heart defect requiring four separate surgical procedures. While recovering from his first open-heart surgery at three weeks of age, Noah suffered a complication resulting in the loss of blood flow to his right leg. The leg could not be saved and he underwent an amputation at the knee.
Noah has just completed his fourth and final heart surgery and has made a remarkable recovery over the past several weeks. He has been fitted with a new “leg” complete with a new “knee” made possible by the Jordan Thomas Foundation and generous sponsors like you. As you can see from the picture,
Noah is filled with the joy of life despite the incredible hardships he and his family have endured. Recently, Noah asked if he could have a foot with a split toe to allow him to wear sandals like Mom and Dad. We were delighted to help and with your support, we have made his life a little easier. Thank-you for your help in our mission of “Rebuilding Children After Traumatic Injury”.

Our Third Beneficiary
We were thrilled to announce our third beneficiary at our second annual Golf Classic and Low Country Boil in a special video presentation. The video told of eleven year old Daniel's story whereupon his life was changed in a few moments during a motorcycle accident. Daniel lost his left arm just below the elbow and required several surgeries to repair. During this time, he did not know what would happen to him and wondered how he might "tie [his] shoes" and "carry [his] books".
Daniel was brought to the attention of the Foundation and in partnership with the Fillauer Corporation, a myo-electric prosthetic arm was made available for Daniel. This device allows Daniel to move his new hand much like he did before the accident as the prosthetic arm recognizes electrical signals from his brain and responds accordingly. If Daniel wants to close his hand, he merely has to think about closing the hand and the hand closes. Daniel is at an excellent age to take full advantage of this type of prosthetic arm and it was clear from the video that he has already mastered several of it's functions.
Thank you, to all of our contributors, who have changed the life of this young man, forever.

Our Fourth Beneficiary
The Jordan Thomas Foundation recently added another recipient - Samantha - shown here with Jordan. Samantha is a six year old, active, vivacious girl, adopted from China by a family in North Georgia. One of five children, Samantha outgrew her first prosthetic and needed a new one that wouldn't fall off on the playground. Since both parents recently lost their jobs and the father's new job had insurance that only covered $1,000 for prosthetics, her need was great - and our donors helped meet this need. Samantha and Jordan became fast friends and competitive game board players, especially after Jordan showed off his legs. Her eyes grew big and she was immediately his best friend forever. Thank you for helping to make this happen for Samantha.
Thank you,
